TEMPO.CO, Jakarta -Â Indonesia's national football team has officially been added to the popular football simulation games FC 26 and FC Mobile following a partnership between the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI), through PT Garuda Sepak Bola Indonesia (GSI), and EA Sports FC.
The partnership adds Indonesia's national team as a playable side in the EA Sports FC franchise, including FC 26 and FC Mobile. The move also expands the game's official Southeast Asian national team lineup.
Indonesia has become the first Southeast Asian national team to officially appear in EA Sports FC's “The World's Game†franchise and will make its debut in EA Sports FC Mobile and EA Sports FC 26 starting Thursday.
“PSSI is proud because we have been in discussions with EA Sports for quite a long time, around the last six months. They are also being quite expansive today, and we are officially announcing that PSSI is partnering with EA Sports as an official video game partner for the next two years,†GSI Managing Director Marsal Masita told reporters during the official launch event in South Jakarta on Thursday.
The partnership features the full Indonesia national team squad complete with the latest authentic Kelme jerseys, realistic player likenesses, and the country's iconic Garuda emblem.
Fans will be able to manage and play as Indonesia in Tournament Mode and Kick Off mode in The World's Game through a new update designed to bring players closer to the atmosphere and scale of international football competition.
“It is a great honor for all of us here to celebrate a historic moment for Indonesian football and for Garuda. This moment is not only about the collaboration between PSSI and EA, but also a symbol of Indonesian football representation on the international stage,†said Gerry Yulian, Franchise Director of EA Sports FC Mobile Asia.
“Today is a historic day as the Indonesia national team officially becomes part of the EA Sports FC ecosystem,†he added.
In a separate statement, PSSI chair Erick Thohir said the collaboration would bring the world's most popular football simulation game closer to Indonesia's passionate football supporters.
“This is more than just a game. It is a major platform to inspire a new generation of Indonesian talent, expand the reach of the national football ecosystem, and connect millions of fans across the archipelago with the beauty of football,†Erick said.
PSSI and EA Sports FC also encouraged players and fans to enjoy the online football simulation game responsibly, maintain healthy gaming habits, and continue upholding football's core values such as teamwork, respect, discipline, integrity, and resilience.
