It's always fun to talk about which quarterbacks are going to take over in dynasty fantasy football this upcoming year.

ForbesRookie Quarterbacks To Trade For In Dynasty Fantasy Football

The tough conversations start when you begin to look at who might not be such a great player to have on your roster. That's the goal of today’s article.

To help make this a bit more actionable for dynasty players, we won't just be looking at top players or lower ranked players who are tough to move. Instead, one of these quarterbacks ranks inside the top 20 among quarterbacks on Keep Trade Cut, while the others come in the QB20-25 range.

1. Jordan Love (KTC Rank: QB15)

Although Jordan Love is a talented quarterback, I'm just not a huge fan of his price. Love has only had one fantasy football season with over 16 PPG, with that first year coming as a rookie with 18.8 PPG.

Having a floor of roughly 15 PPG isn't very intriguing and due to the lack of rushing upside, I question the ceiling that Love has. Over Love's NFL career, he's yet to break 250 rushing yards or five touchdowns in a season.

Based on what we've seen thus far, I'm not sure if Love can ever reach that 20 plus PPG mark in a season. Love is a fine player, but I'd much rather tier down and grab a player that has a bit of a higher ceiling with a similar floor.

2. Jared Goff (KTC Rank: QB21)

The conversation with Love somewhat applies here to Jared Goff. Goff has a slightly higher floor with at least 16 PPG in each of his last four seasons, 17 plus in each of his last three and a 19.1 PPG season in 2024.

There are two reasons for concern with Goff. One is that the 2024 season was with Ben Johnson as the Detroit Lions offensive coordinator, who's now the Chicago Bears head coach. It seems realistic to not expect Goff to get back to another 18-19 plus PPG season.

Goff is also much older than I had thought, at 31 years old. For a quarterback who's now 30 plus years old, I'd like a bit more production than what Goff is giving right now.

3. Bryce Young (KTC Rank: QB23)

The last player on this list is Bryce Young. Young was drafted as the number one overall pick in 2023, but he's yet to fully put it together.

There have been games where Young looks great, but in fantasy football, he's yet to have a season with over 14 PPG. Not only do I have questions about how long Young will be the Carolina Panthers starting quarterback, but given what he's shown in his first three seasons, it's tough to rely on him as someone you can start in 2026.

With Young, he seems much closer to a QB3 with upside rather than a top-24 quarterback, which he is right now.

All three of these quarterbacks offer upside and could very well work out, seeing an increase in value next season. However, it's the risk that all three come with based on their dynasty fantasy football rank that makes me feel as if you'd be better off trading them away.
