Derbyshire 23 pts, Northamptonshire 1 pt.

Kent beat Gloucestershire by two wickets

Bristol: Kent 327 and 261-8 BEAT Gloucestershire 325 and 262 by two wickets

Gloucestershire points, Kent points

Keith Dudgeon has a wild hack and Kent are eight down, need eight to win.

Counties to lose points for financial losses

Matt Hughes with an exclusive.

With Kent needing 30, four wickets in hand, and Northants still frustrating Derbys, time for me to start writing up. I will pop back. Do keep chatting BTL.

A wicket at Bristol. Another for Bell, Chris Benjamin, I think, plays on, though thing are slightly blocked by the keeper. Kent 231-6, need just 30.

Sussex beat Leicestershire by seven wickets

Well played Dan Ibrahim and James Coles, (who has been slightly out of touch previously this season), an easy win after rain delays. Sussex complete two wins over Leicestershire in this Spring group of games.

Hove: Sussex 430 and 131-3 BEAT Leicestershire 328 and 232 by seven wickets

Notts draw with Surrey, a double century for Ben Duckett

What a great warmup for Duckett. Gets there with a quickstep and lofted drive for four off Rory Burns, 308 balls, 23 fours, one six. Burns and Jamie Smith behind the stumps join in the applause and, shortly afterwards, they all shake hands.

Trent Bridge: Nottinghamshire 415 and 414-4 DRAW with Surrey 449

Nottinghamshire 13pts, Surrey 13pts

Well dug in Northants for taking this into the final session. George Scrimshaw not only spoiled Zak Chappell's hattrick, he's now blocked out 14 balls. George Bartlett has seen off 123. Just one wicket needed for Derbyshire.

A hundred and out for Muyeye

Turn on the stream to see Muyeye, slightly off balance, parry Taylor behind. Kent 204-5, need 57.

What's left? Northants nearly down and out at Derby, nine down. Surrey and Notts almost at handshakes, another 21 and Duckett will have 200.

And two run chases – Sussex need 55 to beat Leicestershire with eight wickets left and Kent need 59 with six wickets left to beat Gloucestershire. Over to Bristol, I think.

Glamorgan beat Somerset by two wickets

Well played Ryan Hadley! Wins the game with a boundary that also takes him to 50. Gets a huge hug from Mason Crane, who he lifts off the ground, followed by hand shakes from Tom Abell and most of the Somerset team. He takes his helmet off and waves his bat as he takes giant strides back to the dressing room. Glamorgan's first victory on home soil in Division One; consecutive defeats for Somerset. What a cracking match.

Sophia Gardens: Glamorgan 229 and 285-8 BEAT Somerset 354 and 157 by two wickets

Glamorgan 19 pts, Somerset 6 pts.

An enormous lbw shout from Pretorius against Hadley , Pretorius sprints towards the slips, both arms raised, turns around and beats the air in frustration when he sees the umpire's finger still by his side.

Overton (over 33) bends like a lever arch file, in frustration. Goes again, Crane plays and misses. Gets a single from the next. Just four needed for back to back wins for Glamorgan.

Nicely done! Ryan Hadley, straight drives Pretorius back past the bowler for four. Just seven needed.

Crane edges a single to get off the mark. Pretorius now, over 33.

Craig Overton strides back to his mark, shoulders like ceiling beams. Rushes in. Van der Gugten (6 from 31) knocks the ball straight to the fielder. Oh my, next ball he gets a yorker and is hit so hard on the back leg he has a little hop. Glamorgan 270-9, need 13. Enter Mason Crane.

New Road: Durham 268 and 143-1 BEAT Worcestershire 308 and 102 by nine wickets

Tea – everywhere.

And good news for England, Ben Duckett has 150 in the run glut at Trent Bridge.

Back to Cardiff – where the target is still 19.

Rain at Hove

Will Sussex be denied? Currently 42-1, they need only 89 to beat Leicestershire.

Kent need exactly 100 to beat Gloucestershire. Muyeye still there on 77. Bell-Drummond has gone but Mr Reliable Chris Benjamin has 13. Kent 162-4.

Northants' great rearguard suffers a brutal blow, McSweeney out for 62, a third catch for Brooke Guest, who throws the ball high in the air in glee. Northants 205-7, and the main stumbling block for Derby gone.

The dog settles in a patch of sun infront of the television, and puts her belly in the air. She thinks Glamorgan have got this. Nineteen neeed. Ryan Hadley, Cardiff hero.

Ooof and another! Umpire's finger straight up, Cooke pushes forward, misses ball, lbw. Somerset need three wickets, Glamorgan need 28. A fourth wicket for Pretorius.

A wicket at Cardiff, but surely too late – and Chris Cooke looks in greedy form. A fabulous innings by Sean Dickson, ended by Craig Overton, lbw for 76. Only 29 needed.

A hundred partnership at Sophia Gardens! Much whooping from the crowd/dressing room. Dickson and Hadley share a glove shake. Somerset look a little resigned now. The target below fifty. Time to gamble with some more Leach?

Elsewhere,

Kent are three down, Northeast for four, to Will Williams, who seems to be having quite a fruitful summer for Gloucestershire. They need another 173. Muyeye still there on a boundary-heavy 44.

A third wicket for Shoaib Bashir at The County Ground, Northants are clawing on, but have only four wickets left. McSweeney 47 not out. They still trail Derby by a huge 201.

Rain at Hove, with Sussex 16-1 chasing another 115 to beat Leicester.

And Notts 263-3 at Trent Bridge, centurion Duckett has lost partner Clarke for 59, lbw to Dan Worrall.

At the Gardens, slowly and with great care, and a bit of luck, Glamorgan are in sight of a win. They need 64, with Sean Dickson (58) and Ryan Hadley (22), the overnight batters, still in situ.

100 for Ben Duckett

After a string of good scores, a hundred at last. Joe Clarke, who is in formidable form, is 59 not out. Notts 242-3.

Dan Lawrence, who made a hundred yesterday, has already whirled through 14 overs in this innings. No Ben Foakes to turn his arm over though, after he injured himself in a similar match situation against Essex.

“Very disappointing”

Yorkshire coach Anthony McGrath.

“I've not really got much more to say other than it's very disappointing.

“With the bat and ball, particularly with the ball in that second innings, we were comprehensively beaten.

“Credit to Warwickshire, they fought back by time and then again. They showed us how to bowl on that pitch. They never missed their lengths, and there was enough in that pitch throughout.â€

Another former Yorkshire cricketer seals it for Warwickshire at Edgbaston, with Jordan Thompson replacing OHD at the City End and seeing his first ball tickled behind by Jack White. Yorkshire 171 all out and defeated by 377 runs in the end. Plenty to ponder for the visitors, while the Bears go top of the table after bagging 19 points. They may not end the day there but a promising start to the season all the same.

Edgbaston: Warwickshire 147 and 553-6 BEAT Yorkshire 152 and 171 by 377 runs

Warwickshire 19 points, Yorkshire 3 points

Aha, one pre-lunch offering of Jack Leach at Sophia Gardens.

Over at Derby, Northants have lost three wickets this morning, one each for Bashir, Aitchison and Chappell. A long afternoon of defence ahead to avoid an innings defeat. Nathan McSweeney 33 not out.

Lewis Gregory gets a ticking off from the umpires for misdemeanours unknown.

A third wicket of the morning for Olly Hannon-Dalby takes him to a seventh wicket in the match against his former county. Nice bit of bowling from Halifax's finest, setting up Ben Cliff for an inswinger that sent leg stump for a tumble. Warwickshire now within touching distance of a huge victory.

The weather seems to be fine for now at Sophia Gardens, where, softly, softly, Glamorgan are creeping up on Somerset. Sean Dickson drives Craig Overton for four to reduce the target to under a hundred. And the next ball, a fat half volley is driven for another. Glamorgan 191-5.
